Job summary

Mid-West Forging and Machining seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician/Millwright to keep a high-activity manufacturing line running. You will work with PLCs and high-voltage systems, perform maintenance, and develop toward the Master Maintenance Technician tier through hands-on assessments.

The role emphasizes dismantling and repairing electro-mechanical systems, motor and drive troubleshooting, PMs, and adherence to LOTO/arc-flash safety.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in manufacturing as Electrical Maintenance tech or Millwright
• Able to read and interpret technical instructions/diagrams
• Must communicate clearly, work solo or in a team
• Willing to work all shifts to gain full maintenance exposure

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electro-mechanical controls and devices across plant equipment
• Install and troubleshoot motors, drives, starters, and I/O circuits; assist with building/utility maintenance
• Complete PMs and maintain logs; follow safe operating procedures including LOTO and arc-flash
• Read blueprints/schematics; assemble machines and secure to foundations
• Program/select robot routines; measure, cut and bend wire/conduit; pull wiring; drill pass-throughs; pull shorts
• Assist with rigging and positioning motors; perform basic electrical repairs (fuses, sockets, switches)
• Disassemble/replace worn components; basic non-load-bearing welding and torch cutting
• Maintain clean work areas, tools, and equipment
