Job summary

Mid-West Forging and Machining is seeking a Lead Mechatronics Reliability Technician to keep critical plant equipment running. You’ll blend electronic diagnostics with mechanical know‑how across conveyors, presses, cranes, and robotics, performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

Expect growth through hands‑on testing and structured pathways from Maintenance Technician to Master Maintenance Technician.

Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years in manufacturing as an Electrical Maintenance pro or Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; Associate’s in Industrial Maintenance or accredited Millwright program preferred.

Responsibilities

Dismantle, install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical/electrical controls on plant equipment.
Install motors, drives, starters, I/O; trace shorts; measure/wire/ conduit; drill and pull wiring.
Perform building maintenance; maintain plant electrical devices, compressed air, and natural gas systems.
Execute PMs; follow safe work practices; keep precise logs and maintenance records.
Install robots and assist with program changes; assist with lifting and wiring tasks.
Follow lockout/tagout and NEC; read blueprints and schematics; basic welding as needed.
