Job summary
Valeo in Reno, NV, is seeking a skilled PLC programmer to design, program, and troubleshoot automated robotic and vision systems on our manufacturing lines. You will use IEC 61131-3 languages (Ladder Diagram) with Allen-Bradley hardware, oversee line ramp-ups, implement high-speed control architectures, and drive cycle-time reductions while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronic, or related field; experience may replace education.
- 4+ years PLC programming experience on industrial lines with multiple PLCs.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley, Fanuc/ABB/Kuka robotics.
- Experience with high-speed automation and vision systems.
Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot automated robotic and vision systems using PLCs.
- Modify PLC programs using IEC 61131-3, Ladder Diagram.
- Oversee ramp-up of manufacturing lines and automation equipment.
- Implement in-house control architectures integrating PLCs, sensors, actuators.
- Ensure lockout/tagout compliance and cycle-time reduction.
- Benchmark trends to inform mid-term actions.
