Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Control Specialist to install, monitor, and repair PLC devices and related control systems in a dairy processing environment.

You will support PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and other electronics to keep equipment at peak performance. The role requires troubleshooting, regular maintenance, and collaboration with technicians to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and related control equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical issues.
• Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance tracking systems.
• Strong reading of blueprints and installation instructions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust PLCs, HMIs, and field devices.
• Troubleshoot power and motor control systems and drives.
• Diagnose downtime causes and restore equipment performance.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Monitor PLC devices to ensure functionality and safety.
