Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in New Wilmington, PA, is seeking an Electrical/Process Controls Engineer to support site construction, expansion, and equipment design, focusing on DFA's plant processes.

The role requires an engineering degree and 2–4 years in the food industry, with experience in HMI and ControlLogix, one-line and electrical schematics. You will coordinate vendors and project activities while upholding GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering (preferably electrical engineering) or equivalent
• 2 to 4 years of multi-disciplinary technical experience in food industry (preferably dairy)
• Experience with HMI and ControlLogix Programming, one-line and electrical schematic design
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment

Responsibilities

• Gather and provide information on controls, electrical design, construction, and maintenance matters
• Organize and maintain process controls and electrical engineering documentation
• Support implementation and upkeep of process control plans and projects at the assigned location
• Track and update capital budget and equipment schedules
• Communicate with DFA employees on projects, priorities, timetables, budgets
• Serve as technical support on process controls and electrical engineering
• Contribute to initiatives for cost savings and technical insights
• Stay informed about engineering practices and support policy changes
• Follow GMP and all regulatory/safety requirements
• Additional duties as assigned
