Job summary
Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. seeks a PLC & Instrumentation Technician to install, monitor, and repair PLC devices and related instrumentation in our Utah plant. You will support HMIs, sensors, and automation to keep production running at quality standards.
You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, document procedures, and mentor team members while following GMP and safety rules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade/technical schooling in industrial automation, electricity-electronics, PLC, etc.
- 4–6 years of industrial maintenance electrical or PLC experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Certification and/or License – state certified electrician or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust PLCs, HMIs, and field devices.
- Troubleshoot power and motor control systems and frequency drives.
- Diagnose and repair downtime causes and improve equipment performance.
- Perform preventive/predictive maintenance to target zero downtime.
- Monitor PLC devices and systems for functionality.
- Perform safety inspections and document procedures.
- Maintain CMMS records and assist with asset accountability.
- Support and train team members; communicate with departments.
