Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to install, monitor, and repair PLCs, HMIs, and related electrical systems in our plant environment. You will troubleshoot control systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support production reliability.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 4–6 years in industrial maintenance, and a state electrician license or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Trade school/technical school preferred in automation or related fields.
4–6 years of industrial maintenance electrical/PLC experience preferred.
State certified electrician license and/or other certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and field devices.
Repair power and motor control systems and frequency drives.
Locate and repair problems causing downtime or poor performance; ensure equipment uptime.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to achieve high efficiency.
Monitor PLC devices and test connections between PLCs and equipment.
Conduct safety inspections and maintain CMMS records for parts and asset performance.
Maintain and repair plant equipment and assist with new installations.
Provide technical support and mentor other technicians and operators.
