Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Controls, Automation & Electrical Technician (PLC) for Germantown, WI. The role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and robotic systems on a 3rd shift schedule.

You will support upgrades, read schematics, document equipment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in industrial automation, with a technical degree or cert in Electrical Technology or Automation and experience with Beckhoff, Fanuc, or vision

Qualifications

Technical training, certification, or degree in Electrical Technology, Automation, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems, HMIs, VFD drives, and robotic automation systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical wiring, instrumentation, and sensors across automated production lines.
Support automation upgrades, commissioning, and integration of new equipment.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
Maintain accurate technical documentation for automation and electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and FDA manufacturing regulations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
Work cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to resolve automation issues.
