The role requires a Tennessee teaching license with endorsement, a minimum of 5 years classroom experience, and a strong ability to lead, organize, and communicate with school leaders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school leadership to identify priorities and develop targeted improvement strategies.
• Observe classroom instruction, provide feedback, and model best practices for teachers.
• Facilitate professional development sessions and assist teacher teams in designing and implementing effective instructional practices.
• Support teams in creating and analyzing assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Help develop and sustain school-wide curricula, standards, and intervention pyramids aligned with state and federal expectations.
• Support data collection and reporting efforts to monitor progress toward school improvement goals.
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with school staff to foster a culture of growth and excellence.

Overview

iDEAL HIRE is hiring a new PLC Coach for our client in the Education sector. This is a full-time, on-site role in Memphis, TN, offering a starting salary of $50,000, commensurate with experience.

Role Details

• Compensation: Starting at $50,000 (DOE)

• Duration: Full-time
• Location: Memphis, TN
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, on-site

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with school leadership to identify priorities and develop targeted improvement strategies.
• Observe classroom instruction, provide constructive feedback, and model best practices for teachers.
• Facilitate professional development sessions and assist teacher teams in designing and implementing effective instructional practices.
• Support teams in creating and analyzing assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
• Assist in establishing a sustainable professional learning community (PLC) model that integrates best practices and promotes continuous growth.
• Participate in needs assessments, program evaluations, and compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal education laws and Title I requirements.
• Help develop and sustain school-wide curricula, standards, and intervention pyramids aligned with state and federal expectations.
• Support data collection and reporting efforts to monitor progress toward school improvement goals.
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with school staff to foster a culture of growth and excellence.

What We’re Looking For

• Must-Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience
  • Active Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate endorsement
  • Proven knowledge of effective instruction, curriculum, and assessment principles
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Nice-to-Have:
  • Master’s degree in education or a related field
  • Active administrator licensure
  • Experience with Title I requirements and federal education laws
  • Background in professional development, curriculum development, or instructional coaching
