Job summary

Hyundai-Transys-Georgia-Powertrain- in West Point, GA is seeking a PLC Maintenance Specialist to ensure production lines and plant equipment are operational and to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLCs, control systems and computers. Responsibilities include interfacing with electricians, documenting actions and supporting capital projects.

The role requires a solid PLC and electrical background, with hands-on problem solving and ability to meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years job related experience
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance guidelines and programs
• OSHA machine regulations knowledge
• Experience with machine operation and programming systems
• Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant control systems, PLCs, motion controllers, HMIs and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, manuals, schematics, and blueprints to maintain and improve equipment uptime.
• Set-up, configure, program, modify, and improve PLC programs.
• Provide 2nd level technical support to plant electricians and technicians.
• Support and Implement capital projects as per yearly schedule.
• Prepare reports and presentations on improvements and quality issues.
