Job summary

BlueWorx is seeking an experienced PLC Technician to support industrial automation, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment reliability within a high-volume automotive manufacturing facility in West Point, GA.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Siemens PLCs, Step 7, TIA Portal, HMIs, motion controllers, and PLC programming, and will troubleshoot complex automated equipment while providing advanced technical support to maintenance technicians and plant electricians.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with industrial PLC troubleshooting and programming.
Experience with Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience supporting maintenance teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair PLCs, control systems, HMIs, motion controllers, and industrial electrical equipment.
Work with Siemens Step 7 and Siemens TIA Portal.
Configure, program, modify, and optimize PLC programs.
Troubleshoot PLC communication and control system issues.
Diagnose electrical and automation-related equipment failures.
Support programming and troubleshooting of industrial motor controls.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and blueprints.
Identify opportunities to improve automation performance and equipment reliability.
Support equipment modifications and control system improvements.
