Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with school age children (paid or volunteer).
• Proficiency exam testing date to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Assists instructional personnel with development and presentation of learning materials.
• Tutors students individually or in small groups.
• Monitors and assists in administration of student testing and scoring tests.
• Oversees and supervises students during classroom activities, on campus/play fields, in library and on field trips.
• Assists in development of instructional materials.
• Operates instructional media and office machines.
• Maintains student records, attendance and files; maintains discipline in the absence of the teacher.
• Maintains records of materials and equipment as directed.
• Assists in supervising and explaining basic skills in sports and body movement.
• Maintains a safe and appropriate learning environment.
• Assists other personnel as needed and participates in meetings.
