Job summary

Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino is seeking a cashier to handle cash, chips, and tickets for players during shifts in the Player Services area.

You will support money transfers, cash drawers, and player registrations while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations. Strong customer service skills and the ability to stand for long periods are required.

Responsibilities

• Make change or exchange cash for chips and tickets for players.

• Follow Internal Controls and Title 31 requirements daily.
• Perform credit inquiries and checks for new check cashing applications.
• Balance cash drawer at end of shift and prepare required paperwork.
• Sign up new players and greet players as a company representative.
• Promote promotions and build relationships with top players.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

SUMMARY:Responsible for making change or exchanges of chips and tickets for cash for players during a specified shift in the Player Services area while providing support and service to players.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Makes change or exchanges cash for chips and tickets from players in the Casino.Requests money through the Player Services Manager to ensure the appropriate level of money on hand in their cash drawer.Provides prompt, friendly, and courteous service.Cashes checks and gaming tickets for players.Follows Internal Controls and Title 31 requirements on a daily basis.Make credit inquires, performs credit checks and other related functions necessary to process new check cashing applications.Performs all transactions with players in a confidential manner.Balances cash drawer at the end of each shift by preparing appropriate paperwork, etc.Signs up new players.Greets players as a company rep and provides information about promotions.Develops relationships with top playersAdheres to regulatory requirements.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS :Previous money handling experience, preferably in a cashier’s positionData entry experienceHigh school diploma or GED required.All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must have excellent customer service skills.Must have attention to detail.Must have basic math skills.Must have basic computer skills.Ability to operate 10 Key adding machine.Knowledge of Casino cash receipts and reporting requirements.Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and any shift.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/OTHERMust be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Robinson Rancheria Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.Must pass an annual Title 31 exam.AMERICAN INDIAN PREFERENCERobinson Rancheria Resort & Casino is a Native American Indian enterprise.
