Job summary

Owensboro Racing & Gaming, a property operated by Churchill Downs Incorporated, seeks a Player Development Host to serve as a VIP ambassador for our guests. You will build lasting relationships, host events, and create memorable experiences in a fast-paced gaming environment.

The role emphasizes hospitality excellence, professionalism, and the ability to adapt to busy periods while maintaining high service standards. Must be 21+, with licensing required and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in hospitality, marketing, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or gaming is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with gaming industry practices and regulations is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• You must be 21 years of age or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for players, ensuring outstanding service and timely response to inquiries.
• Build and nurture relationships with guests through personalized attention and engagement strategies.
• Plan and host player events, tournaments, and promotions to drive excitement and participation.
• Monitor player activity and engagement trends to identify outreach opportunities and player preferences.
• Collect feedback and share player insights with relevant departments to enhance overall service delivery.
• Partner with the marketing team to develop appealing player promotions and communication materials.
• Educate guests on available services, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Uphold all gaming regulations and internal controls to maintain a compliant and professional environment.
• Work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
