Job summary

Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a Part-time Player Assistant to welcome players, explain rules, start groups, and help maintain pace of play while delivering a positive member and guest experience.

You will monitor course conditions, communicate with the Golf Shop, and perform other duties to support golf operations. A high school diploma or GED and 0–3 months related experience are required; reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Starts players on the first tee explaining the rules of play for the day.
• Maintains an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cues groups to move to the first tee and ensures not more than one group on the tee at a time.
• Tours the golf course assisting players to maintain posted pace of play for the day.
• Checks the restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintains proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
• Completes the golfer tracking report on a daily basis.
• Reminds players of the cart rules of the day.
• Repairs ball marks and collects trash on the course; replaces hazard stakes or signage.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop and Starter regularly.
• Monitors the course and ensures customer satisfaction; assists golfers as needed.
• Reports any problem to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.
