Job summary

Twice is seeking a Golf Shop Assistant to support daily club operations, including sales, merchandise, POS, handicap and tee sheet management, and guest services.

Work under the Head Golf Professional with opportunities for growth in golf club operations and instruction. Requires weekend/holiday availability and PGA program enrollment or membership.

Qualifications

• Able to read and speak English to perform duties.

• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.
• AA degree or two or more years related experience or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in golf course operations.
• Current PGA member or enrolled in the PGAPGM program.
• Must have open availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering POS revisions for green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
• Coordinate with Accounting on policy revisions, updates, and implementation.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, check-in, payments, discrepancies, and no-show charges.
• Promote all club golf activities.
• Assist in creating lesson plans and provide instruction.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked golf shop.
• Assist the retail buyer with procurement and merchandising.
• Prepare for golf outings with scorecards, labels, sheets, and pairing sheets.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Care for golf facilities and assets.
• Model professional behavior and work ethic.
• Assist with associate training and policy enforcement.

Overview

Assists in administering daily golf operations, including sales, merchandise support, POS operation, handicap and tee sheet management, and on-course or golf shop duties. This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day golf operations and delivering exceptional customer service to guests. The position reports to the Head Golf Professional and offers opportunities for professional growth in golf club operations.

Experience Required

• Ability to read and speak English is required to perform the duties of the job.
• Self-starter with a results-oriented work style and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems.
• Associate's degree (AA); or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in golf course operations or a related industry.
• Current PGA member or enrolled in the PGAPGM program.
• Must have open availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally extended hours.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in administering POS application revisions and needs related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
• Coordinate with Accounting Departments on policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation.
• Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, receive payments, resolve discrepancies, and track force posts and no-show charges.
• Promote all club golf activities.
• Assist in creating lesson plans and provide individual and group instruction.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
• Assist the retail buyer with procurement and merchandising.
• Prepare for golf outings, including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets, and hole assignments.
• Follow established opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with care and maintenance of golf facilities physical assets.
• Act as a role model for employees by demonstrating expected behavior and work ethic.
• Assist with associate training.
• Interpret and impose club policies, rules, and regulations.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.
