Job summary

Bonita National Golf & Country Club is seeking a Player Assistant to support a fast-paced, hospitality-focused golf operation. You will help manage player flow, maintain pace of play, assist golfers on the course, and contribute to an outstanding guest experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and reliable attendance. You will work closely with the Golf Shop and Starter, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction on the course.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possesses basic math skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Start players on the first tee and explain the rules for the day.
• Maintain an accurate starting sheet to track player whereabouts.
• Cue groups and ensure only one group on the tee at a time.
• Tour the course assisting players to maintain posted pace of play.
• Check restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintain proper spacing on the course to avoid delays.
• Complete the golfer tracking report daily.
• Remind players of cart rules for the day.
• Repair ball marks, collect trash, and replace hazard signage.
• Communicate with Golf Shop and Starter regularly.
• Monitor the course and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist golfers as needed.
• Report any issues to the Head Professional promptly.
• Incorporate safe work practices.

Experience Required

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possesses basic math skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Start players on the first tee and explain the rules of play for the day.
• Maintain an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cue groups to move to the first tee and ensure no more than one group is on the tee at one time.
• Tour the golf course assisting players when needed to maintain the posted pace of play for the day.
• Check restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintain proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
• Complete the golfer tracking report on a daily basis.
• Remind players of the cart rules of the day.
• Repair ball marks, collect trash on the course, and replace hazard stakes or directional signage.
• Communicate regularly with the Golf Shop and Starter.
• Monitor the course and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist golfers when needed.
• Report all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as required.
