Twice in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an individual to start players, explain daily rules, and guide pace of play on a hospitality-focused golf property.

You'll assist golfers, monitor course flow, and coordinate with the Golf Shop and Starter. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on course upkeep in outdoor conditions, with a focus on delivering a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Frequently stands and walks; reaches with hands and arms.
  • Regularly sits and uses hands; talks or hears; may stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Works outdoors in varied weather; noise level moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
  • Tour the golf course and assist players to maintain the posted pace of play.
  • Check restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
  • Maintain proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
  • Complete the golfer tracking report daily.
  • Remind players of the cart rules of the day.
  • Repair ball marks, collect trash on the course, replace hazard signage.
  • Communicate with the Golf Shop and Starter regularly.
  • Monitor the course, ensure customer satisfaction, and assist golfers when needed.
  • Report all problems to Head Professional promptly.
  • Maintain safe work practices and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Overview

Experience Required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
  • Frequently stands and walks; reaches with hands and arms.
  • Regularly sits and uses hands; talks or hears. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls.
  • Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
  • Noise level is moderate.
