Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Morehead, KY is seeking a Plating Process Engineer to oversee the plating line, manage technical aspects, and troubleshoot production defects to ensure high-quality parts. You will lead Plating Technicians, develop process instructions and standards, and drive safety, cost reduction, and continuous improvement in a fast-growing B2B environment.

Qualifications

Experience leading a manufacturing process team.
Experience troubleshooting plating processes in production environments.
Bachelor's degree required in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

Responsibilities

Analyze plating solutions using wet chemistry and equipment.
Develop strategic plans to maintain plating equipment.
Manage Plating Process Technicians including waste water & wet lab.
Develop QS9000 work instructions for the plating department.
Develop standards for current and future plating activities including process improvement, standardization, design, and cost reduction.
Follow all environmental policies, procedures and safety requirements.
Report environmental concerns and incidents to management.
Define process limits based on experimentation and analysis.
Develop new processes, methods, and layouts to increase flexibility and yields.
Adhere to safety and environmental regulations applicable to the job.
Assist plating manager in identifying training needs and attend trainings.
Promote and maintain 5-S in the work area.
