Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Morehead, KY is seeking a Molding Process Engineer to launch, optimize, and sustain high-quality molded components in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will lead safe molding operations, reduce scrap, improve uptime, and mentor technicians while collaborating with operations, quality, tooling, and maintenance to deliver measurable improvements.

This role emphasizes scientific molding, DOE, and process capability analyses to ensure production readiness and quality

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on molding leadership experience.
Experience with injection molding, tooling trials, process development, troubleshooting, scrap reduction, or equipment/process optimization.
Working knowledge of scientific molding principles and DOE.
Strong analytical thinking and data usage to identify root causes and improve process performance.
Clear documentation skills and ability to support technicians and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead safe, reliable molding operations and drive prevention-focused improvements.
Improve molding performance through scrap reduction, cycle time optimization, downtime reduction, and OEE initiatives.
Launch and validate new molds through tooling trials and process development with proper documentation.
