Job summary

BLP Digital AG seeks a Team Lead to head our Platform SAT Team, currently 5 senior engineers and growing to 8. You’ll lead, mentor, review PRs, respond to incidents, and set the technical direction while staying hands-on with code.

You’ll write Go from day one, coordinate with other teams to align priorities, and drive platform-level outcomes with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience leading 5+ engineers.
• Deep MySQL knowledge and optimization.
• Experience operating production systems and on-call incidents.
• Comfort with functional programming concepts.
• Ability to think beyond languages and frameworks.
• Experience building engineering principles and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 senior engineers across high-impact platform projects.
• Grow the team to 8 through hiring and onboarding.
• Coordinate across engineering teams to align priorities and unblock dependencies.
• Write and review Go code; maintain code quality and design.
• Optimize MySQL performance through tuning and schema decisions.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
• Establish engineering principles: correctness, observability, testing standards.
• Run 1:1s and career development conversations.
