Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. in the United States seeks a Platform Solutions Architect to lead the design, evolution, and security of a mission-critical software delivery platform.

You will work across platform engineering, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity to ensure resilience, scale, and rapid delivery, while communicating tradeoffs to senior leaders. Candidates should have DoD context, cloud-native expertise, and a track record building secure hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
• 8+ years in systems/platform engineering, cloud architecture, or DevSecOps.
• Experience designing distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and container-based environments.
• Experience in secure/regulatory environments with cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, IAM, observability, and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure, hybrid cloud platform for mission-critical software development and operations.
• Develop forward-looking target architectures guiding modernization and expansion.
• Prototype and evaluate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Ensure platform security, accreditation, and multi-level classification compliance.
• Prepare analyses, architecture diagrams, white papers, and decision papers for leadership.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate across platform engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and operations teams.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and governance artifacts.
