Job summary

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC is seeking a Product Architect – Platform Engineering to lead architecture across cloud, data, and enterprise platforms. You will guide architecture patterns, align solutions with enterprise standards, and partner with product and engineering leaders to enable scalable, secure delivery.

You will drive DevOps and security practices, shape roadmaps, and ensure consistency of platform capabilities across the organization in a hybrid office setting in Lone Tree, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in security/enterprise/platform architecture.
• Experience designing secure architectures across cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles including identity, network security, encryption, and data protection.
• Experience supporting DevSecOps and secure software development practices.
• Familiarity with Defense industry compliance topics (CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR, DFARS).
• Experience with firewalling, IDS/IPS, VPN, DNS security, SEIM systems.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto and other major vendors; cloud networking tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain reference architectures for cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and data platforms.
• Ensure platform capabilities are scalable, reliable, and high performing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align solutions with architecture standards.
• Guide platform design decisions to support long-term maintainability and flexibility.
• Contribute to roadmaps aligned to business priorities and enterprise strategy.
• Define patterns supporting CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement DevOps practices across platforms.
• Translate enterprise standards into practical platform design patterns.
• Provide architectural guidance across cloud, data, and application domains.
• Support integration of platform capabilities across business systems.
• Collaborate with Product Architects to ensure consistency and governance.
