Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a Platform Responsibility engineer to protect billions of users by building ML models and data systems. You will manage real-time and batch pipelines, deploy AI agents, and improve operational efficiency through AI-assisted tooling.

The role requires 24/7 support with rotating shifts, including holidays. Ideal candidates have a CS degree, 1+ year of experience, strong Unix/Linux and networking knowledge, and expertise in observability with Prometheus,

Qualifications

Bachelor or above degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
At least 1 year of industrial experience.
Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into internal workflows or infrastructure tooling.
Demonstrated independent thinking capabilities and troubleshooting skills.
Familiar with Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed systems.
Expertise in monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog) and fundamental observability approaches.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of data service, realtime/batch data pipelines, including SLA/SLO/SLI management, deployment, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Design and deploy AI Agents and LLM-powered automation for incident response and proactive monitoring.
Create tools to improve system administration and code quality with AI-assisted development tools.
Oversee lifecycle from inception to deployment, operation and refinement of services.
Engage in sustainable user support and post mortems.
Support requires 24/7 coverage and may include holidays.
