Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a Platform Reliability Engineer to manage data services and real-time/batch pipelines. You will design AI-powered automation, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to the overall trust and safety platform.

The role requires hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, distributed systems, and modern data tech stacks. The team operates in a fully in-person model, with responsibilities across incident response and system optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor in computer science or related technical discipline.
At least 1 year of industrial experience.
Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into internal workflows or infrastructure tooling.
Troubleshooting and independent thinking abilities.
Familiar with Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed systems.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of data service and pipelines including SLA/SLO/SLI management.
Design and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered automation for incident response and monitoring.
Create tools to improve system administration and code quality.
Participate in regular on-call rotations for 24-hour coverage across shifts.
Engage in lifecycle from design to deployment, operation and refinement.
Practice sustainable user support, incident response, and post-mortems.
