Job summary

FreedomPay’s Platform Operations Team maintains production platforms and ensures health and performance. The Platform Operations Analyst will work from a home office in Arizona or Nevada, supporting a 5:00 PM–1:00 AM ET shift with weekend rotations.

You will monitor live services, collaborate to identify root causes, and write knowledge base articles while helping improve reliability with infra and dev teams. This role offers a hybrid, travel-optional setup with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years in a similar financial services tech/transaction processing role.
• Experience with web-based platform environments and multi-layer dependencies between network, database, and application layers.
• Knowledge of transaction processing, payment gateways, and real-time processing.
• Experience with APM platforms, log ingestion tools, and monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving, incident management and risk awareness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support 24/7 platform availability, including weekend coverage.
• Collaborate with team members to determine root causes of issues and identify indicators of potential problems.
• Communicate effectively with third parties, partners, and internal teams about technical issues.
• Write and edit knowledge base articles to capture solutions and known issues.
• Work with infrastructure and development teams to improve reliability and core value of the system.
• Identify anomalies in logs and escalate appropriately.
• Develop a deep understanding of the FreedomPay platform and stack to aid resolution of issues.
• Create new alerts to support production systems.
• Troubleshoot and remediate failed scheduled jobs.
• Document and refine internal policies and procedures.
• Adopt AI tools and emerging technologies to increase efficiency and impact.
