Job summary

Wealthsimple is Canada’s leading financial innovator, and the Financial Risk platform team is seeking a Platform PM to prevent fraud while enabling fast money movement. You’ll own a broad surface area, from real-time decisioning to case management systems, working with Fraud and Data Science to ship practical improvements.

In this role you will design extensible APIs and schemas, trade off friction and protection, and drive metrics like false positives and latency.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of product management experience with fraud/risk or trust & safety focus.
• Experience operating as a platform PM with API/schema thinking.
• Strong technical fluency in streaming and workflow concepts.
• Breadth across real-time decisioning, investigations tooling, and regulatory reporting.
• Data-driven decision making to identify fraud patterns and priorities.
• Experience collaborating with fraud operations teams to close the loop between detection and investigation.
• Bias toward action and shipping validated rules.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and strategy for the Financial Risk platform, balancing fraud prevention with client experience.
• Drive the roadmap for the Decision Platform, a real-time rules engine evaluating fraud risk across withdrawals, deposits, transfers, and crypto.
• Build and improve fraud investigation tooling and automations, including case management, alert deduplication, and enrichment pipelines.
• Define and evolve restriction and mitigation frameworks (suspensions, blocks, spend switches, account restrictions).
• Design extensible APIs, decision schemas, and integration patterns for other teams to plug into new products and rails.
• Collaborate with Fraud and Data Science teams on model integration, rule development, and feedback loops to improve detection.
• Own key risk metrics (fraud loss, false positives, investigation cycle times, decision latency) and drive prioritization.
• Break down complex infrastructure projects into incremental phases delivering value.
