Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Technical Lead / Solution Architect to guide a large-scale GrantSolutions modernization program. You will shape the technical vision, lead architecture decisions, and coordinate across multiple teams, vendors, and federal stakeholders to deliver a scalable, secure platform modernization.

Responsibilities include defining the target-state architecture, integration patterns, and transition plans while ensuring legacy systems remain operational during the transition.

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST; adjudication required prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6–8 years in software engineering/solution architecture or related roles.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API design.
• Experience with AWS-based cloud-native solutions and API patterns.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, IaC, and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong domain-driven design and enterprise data modeling expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and technical direction for a large-scale platform modernization program delivered iteratively.
• Define target-state architecture, modernization roadmap, and design principles for integration patterns.
• Coordinate modernization workstreams across apps, legacy coexistence, data exchange, testing, deployment, and security alignment.
• Provide hands-on guidance on APIs, data exchange, shared services, and incremental migration strategies.
