Stand Together is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer to provide technical leadership for a large WordPress and Drupal web ecosystem, guiding architecture, hosting, and deployment strategy while staying hands-on.

You will mentor engineers, lead technical discovery, and develop a 12–24 month roadmap for consolidating or migrating sites across workstreams, balancing business needs with engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience, including time as a technical lead, staff engineer, or engineering lead for a team or portfolio.
• Heavily hands-on while leading; not a pure management role.
• Strong architecture and systems thinking across multiple apps, not just a single site.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture across the web ecosystem, including hosting and infrastructure strategy.
• Stay hands-on and contribute code alongside the team.
• Own deployment, CI/CD, and automation processes.
• Mentor engineers and reduce key-person dependencies through docs and knowledge sharing.
• Develop a 12–24 month strategy for consolidating/migrating WordPress and Drupal sites.
