Job summary

Stand Together in Arlington, VA, seeks a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer to guide a large, complex web ecosystem, including ~140 WordPress sites and Drupal properties. This hands-on leadership role combines coding with strategic direction, engineering standards, and collaboration with Product and stakeholders.

You will mentor developers, allocate work, and shape technical discovery and estimation while delivering scalable, quality software across Grassroots initiatives and future workstreams.

As the Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will provide the technical leadership for a large and complex web ecosystem, including approximately 140 WordPress sites supporting our Grassroots workstream as well as our Drupal properties. This is a working leadership role. You will stay hands-on in the code while owning technical strategy, architecture, engineering standards, technical discovery and estimation, mentoring, work allocation, and the partnership with Product and stakeholders.

You will provide technical leadership across both our WordPress and Drupal platforms, beginning with the Grassroots workstream and extending across additional workstreams and technology stacks over time.

For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $165,000–$195,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for additional bonus compensation designed to align total compensation with an employee’s overall contribution to the organization.

Compensation decisions are informed by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, capabilities, demonstrated skills, role responsibilities, and expected contribution. Consistent with this approach, base salary may vary within or outside of the anticipated range based on these considerations.
