Job summary

Mimica is seeking a Head of Platform to lead a lean, high-impact team that underpins all engineering squads. You will own the infrastructure strategy, cloud architecture decisions, and multi-region deployments while guiding SRE practices and developer experience.

You will work closely with Product, ML, Security, Sales and Customer Success to scale our AI-powered platform. This is a leadership role with growth potential as the company expands globally.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineers, including managers, and growing teams.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes across regions (GKE/EKS preferred).
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and GitOps tools (ArgoCD).
• Track record owning reliability: SLOs/SLAs, incident response, postmortems.
• Observability experience with major platforms (Honeycomb, Datadog, Grafana).
• Able to review architecture hands-on and communicate clearly to execs/clients.
• Experience budgeting cloud costs and vendor relationships.
• Experience designing enterprise deployment models (single tenant, regional).
• Background in startups/scale-ups with ambiguity and fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure strategy and platform roadmap across products and deployment models.
• Lead and grow the Platform team; plan headcount and sub-team structure as it scales.
• Own AI infrastructure including training/serving infra and MLOps tooling.
• Maintain and improve DevEx culture and deployment paved roads for product teams.
• Own infra budget and unit economics, including cost attribution by product/customer.
• Ensure reliability with SLOs, on-call, incident response, and disaster recovery planning.
• Oversee CI/CD and developer platform; manage Terraform, ArgoCD, Crossplane, and observability standards.
• Collaborate with Platform PM to translate client needs into roadmaps.
• Act as technical owner for infra in enterprise deals and security reviews.
