Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Platform & Infrastructure Services team in Fullerton, CA. You will join a DoD-focused group delivering mission-critical C2 systems, performing integration of COTS/FOSS, and automating builds and deployments in a DevOps environment.

The role requires STEM education with at least 2 years of experience, experience in Windows/Linux, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Travel may be involved, and the role is onsite in Fullerton.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system deployment, automation/scripting and administration for mission-critical systems (Windows or Linux).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in DevOps-enabled integration of platform products with Command and Control systems.
• Support multiple programs and multiple platforms within the C2 software product line.
• Perform as a senior contributor and SME within an Integrated Product Team.
• Handle COTS/FOSS installation, configuration, integration, and testing; automate builds and deployments; tune performance; ensure security/hardening; mentor peers.
