Job summary

RTX in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform and Infrastructure Services team within the Air C2 and Battlefield Sensors division. You will contribute to DevOps integration, automation, and deployment of mission critical software across Windows and Linux environments.

The role requires a STEM degree, at least 5 years’ relevant experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Onsite work and occasional travel are possible.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system deployment, automation/scripting, and administering mission critical systems on Windows or Linux.
• Experience integrating COTS/FOSS products for enterprise deployments (Windows Server, RHEL, PowerShell, SSH).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an IS team applying DevOps processes to integrate platform products with C2 systems.
• Support multiple programs and platforms within the C2 software product line.
• Act as a senior IC and SME on deployments, testing, and security hardening.
• Perform COTS/FOSS installation, configuration, integration, testing, and automation of builds and deployments.
• Travel to sites across the U.S. and internationally as needed to support integration and test activities.
• Onsite work in Fullerton, CA.
