Job summary

Raytheon in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II to develop and deploy real-time mission-critical software onsite. You will design, implement, test, and maintain applications using C/C++ and Python within an Agile team and CI/CD environment.

This role requires a STEM degree and at least 2 years of experience, with the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Travel to customer sites may be required, and relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Experience in C/C++ and Python for application development, data processing, and automation.
• Experience across SDLC phases including design, code, integration, and test of large systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software applications using C/C++ and Python.
• Work in an Agile team to design, develop, test, and deploy software components for real-time data processing.
• Participate in design/code reviews, CM activities, and automated testing in a CI/CD environment.
• Collaborate with systems, test, and data engineering teams to ensure integration and objectives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and contribute to design reviews.
• Some travel to customer sites for testing and deployment.
