Job summary

RTX in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform and Infrastructure Services (IS) team within Air C2 and Battlefield Sensors software. You will help integrate COTS/FOSS platforms with Command and Control systems to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years' relevant experience, plus the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience deploying, automating, and administering mission-critical systems on Windows or Linux.
• Experience integrating COTS/FOSS products for enterprise deployments (Windows Server, RHEL).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Support multiple programs and platforms within the C2 software product line.
• Serve as an experienced IC growing into a technical SME within an Integrated Product Team.
• Install, configure, integrate, and test COTS/FOSS products; automate builds and deployments.
• Tune performance, harden security, and mentor junior staff where appropriate.
• Possible travel across the US and internationally; short-term trips to Saudi Arabia; on-site in Fullerton, CA.
