Receipts Depositary Corporation (RDC) seeks a Technical Lead for Platform Engineering to own the platform, lead a mainly offshore team, and direct architecture and critical path work toward a September 2026 launch. This is a hands-on plus leadership role in a greenfield environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a senior engineer or technical lead capacity.
• Backend‑leaning full‑stack profile: strong in Python/Node.js/Java with enough Angular to direct frontend work.
• Capital markets/fintech or financial infrastructure experience: transfer agents, custodians, securities settlement, or financial API integrations.
• Demonstrated experience directing offshore or remote engineering teams: owning delivery quality and timeline.
• Workflow orchestration experience: designing and extending state‑machine or workflow systems in production.
• Azure Cloud infrastructure experience: compute, secrets management, API gateways, managed databases.

Responsibilities

• Direct offshore engineers across Node.js, Python, and Angular, set sprint priorities and own delivery pace for the launch date.
• Own architecture decisions: database schema, service design, API contracts, and security model for the platform.
• Be the technical interface to external counterparties and lead integration kickoffs.
• Maintain Azure infrastructure including Key Vault and API Management, overseeing migration to production.
• Translate engineering status into strategic business outcomes for leadership.
• Lead user acceptance testing and sign off on go‑live readiness.
• Extend the existing workflow engine and design new workflows.
• Architect a multi‑custodian routing framework for institutional custodians.
• Build an email‑based instruction ingestion service and automate transactions.
