Job summary

Vecima Networks Inc. seeks a Platform team leader for the CDS organization in Duluth, GA. This hands-on manager will guide a small engineering team, set strategic objectives, and oversee day-to-day development activities across Linux, containers, and cloud-native deployments.

The role blends leadership with technical execution, requiring 10+ years in software design and enterprise product development, plus Go/Python expertise and strong Agile experience. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent major.
• 10+ years of technology experience in software design and enterprise product development.
• Experience and fluency with Agile software development practices, including leadership roles in a Scrum team.
• 7+ years of experience managing and leading teams of software engineers.
• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably with Go and Python.
• Experience in virtualization and cloud-native deployments (Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with internet and Linux security is a huge plus.
• Experience with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of developers, providing mentorship and performance reviews.
• Act as overall technical lead and product owner; lead design and development activities.
• Work effectively with key stakeholders in Product Management, Architecture, Scrum Masters, and adjacent teams.
• Move from high-level strategy to detailed day-to-day tasks to ensure delivery of features and releases.
• Own products with a large field install base, prioritize backlog of bug fixes and new features.
• Establish timelines for long-term initiatives and short-term deliverables, release schedules, and sprints.
• Promote Agile practices and continuously improve processes.
• Remove obstacles to drive momentum and manage escalations.
