Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Irvine to lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, aligning with priorities and roadmaps. The role oversees shared infrastructure, tools, and frameworks to enable scalable, secure development and full lifecycle management across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related; 5 years' software eng experience.
• 7 years' software engineering experience.
• 2 years' supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems across teams.
• Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and frameworks for scalable, secure development.
• Drive full software development lifecycle; champion DevOps, CI/CD, cloud cost optimization.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to deliver AI-integrated features.
• Mentor engineers; promote technical quality and guide architectural decisions.
• Manage stakeholder relationships; track operational metrics and ensure timely delivery.
