Job summary

SCAN seeks a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to lead a hybrid infrastructure organization spanning on‑prem data centers and cloud platforms. You will guide DevOps, SRE, automation, and observability while driving modernization and cross‑functional initiatives.

You will own roadmaps, vendor coordination, and governance, with a focus on reliability, scalable platforms, and AI‑driven operations. Join a values‑driven nonprofit delivering care improvements for older adults.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in technology with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• 5+ years in engineering leadership or management.
• Relevant certifications in Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, VMware, Terraform, ITIL, or Technical PM are preferred.
• Strong Technical Program Management experience across roadmaps, planning, delivery, governance, and executive reporting.
• Hands-on data center operations and virtualization understanding.
• Experience with Azure and cloud governance, App Services, SQL, Entra ID, and monitoring.
• DevOps/SRE principles with automated tooling and reliability focus.
• Security, IAM, and compliance knowledge across frameworks like NIST, CIS, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, and SRE teams.
• Provide leadership across hybrid environments (on‑prem and public cloud).
• Drive modernization and cloud migrations, and establish IaC, CI/CD, automation, and observability practices.
• Lead AIOps adoption for reliability and proactive incident response.
• Own platform availability, scalability, and performance.
• Oversee DR/BCP strategy, backup, resiliency, and disaster recovery testing.
• Drive programs from strategy to execution with cross‑functional coordination.
• Communicate program status and risks to leadership.
• Support AI initiatives to transform operations.
