Motion Recruitment Partners in the Greater Boston area is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on developer productivity, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and internal engineering platforms.

You will drive platform improvements, CI/CD excellence, and self-service tooling to enable rapid software delivery with high reliability. Hybrid work and equity opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong background in backend systems and distributed applications.
• Experience working within cloud-native environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools and practices.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team responsible for platform engineering and developer productivity.
• Improve build, deployment, and release processes across multiple engineering teams.
• Develop internal platforms that enable faster and more reliable software delivery.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices across CI/CD, observability, testing, and infrastructure automation.
• Partner with application engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.
• Evaluate modern AI-powered development tools and automation opportunities.
• Influence technical strategy and engineering standards across the organization.
