Job summary

Blitz AI is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer who has built applications from the ground up and led an engineering team to deliver at scale. You will write code, resolve production issues, and guide a 25-member team through the full software lifecycle.

You will design event-driven architectures with Kafka, build REST/GraphQL APIs, deploy on Azure (primary) and AWS, and drive DevOps practices, IaC, monitoring, and incident management to accelerate velocity and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams of engineers in a full SDLC.
• Hands-on development with Java, Spring Boot, React, Angular.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Proficient in API design, versioning, documentation, and governance.
• Cloud expertise on Microsoft Azure (certifications preferred) and AWS knowledge.
• DevOps focus with pipelines, IaC, and monitoring/incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cross-functional engineering team of 25, driving delivery and technical excellence.
• Build, scale, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Angular.
• Design event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
• Develop and maintain high-quality REST/GraphQL APIs with performance and security focus.
• Architect and deploy solutions on Azure (primary) and AWS across cloud-native services.
• Own full application lifecycle from ideation to post-production stability.
