Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) in Chicago seeks a Software Engineer to lead and contribute across the Enterprise technology platforms. You’ll guide development, operations, and knowledge transfer, with a focus on SaaS/low-code solutions and platform improvements.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years IT experience, substantial Atlassian product exposure, and strong scripting capabilities. This role emphasizes SDLC discipline, security, and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience and strong background in enterprise platforms.
• 3+ years implementing Atlassian products and related tooling.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, Scriptrunner, and XML.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum or DevOps methodologies.
• Knowledge of SaaS platform administration in regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, designing, installing, testing, and implementing solutions.
• Serve as SME for SDLC platforms (Confluence, Jira, Scriptrunner, SpiraTest).
• Implement Atlassian plugins and integrate with enterprise software.
• Ensure best-practice development, security, tuning and performance.
• Support KM strategy, transformation, and technical implementation.
• Create knowledge documentation and lead train-the-trainer sessions.
• Oversee solution implementation and ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
