JPMorganChase seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead the Infrastructure Platforms group, delivering secure, scalable Linux OS platforms across a global enterprise. You will influence strategy, drive automation, and ensure operational excellence while mentoring engineers and partnering with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams.

You will own roadmaps, drive platform modernization, and advance secure software supply chain practices, working in a high‑impact environment

Qualifications

• 10+ years of applied software engineering leadership.
• Experience leading large-scale platform or infrastructure teams.
• Deep Linux/UNIX expertise, including RHEL.
• Strong CI/CD, release management, and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment, and ongoing improvement of enterprise Linux OS platforms and services.
• Set technical direction and standards for secure OS image development and lifecycle management.
• Drive modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, automation, testing, observability, and resiliency.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to implement secure-by-design platform capabilities.
• Own roadmaps, delivery priorities, and modernization initiatives within the technology domain.
• Develop automated solutions for image creation, validation, and release management.
• Assess impact of OS and security baseline changes across business apps and services.
• Establish governance and measurable outcomes for software quality and reliability.
• Advance software supply chain security practices including SBOM and provenance validation.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to align strategy and investments.
• Mentor engineering talent and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
