Job summary

Raydar is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to protect client cloud infrastructure and delivery systems in Seattle. You will work hands-on with product and platform engineers to implement robust security controls from the outset.

As a senior member, you will shape the security function, review designs, and mentor engineers. A path toward leading a security group is possible as the team grows. Equity is offered.

Qualifications

• Senior-level engineer with a proven track record protecting live cloud environments.
• Deep security knowledge spanning cloud platforms, containers, IAM, and IaC.
• Hands-on experience writing and deploying security tooling and code.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for protecting live cloud systems and build the necessary controls.
• Harden cloud infrastructure, container platforms, access management and IaC configurations.
• Incorporate secure development practices into service design and release流程.
• Coordinate with IT/governance on audits and maintain controls for compliance.
• Contribute to recruiting and shaping the security team as it grows.
• Review designs with product and platform engineers and advise on protective patterns.
• Path toward leading a security group as the team expands.
