Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is expanding its Intelligence Platform Core team in Bristol, building data and ML platforms with Kubernetes at the heart. The role involves shaping platform vision, contributing to design and implementing cloud-native infrastructure on AWS/GCP/Azure, and mentoring teammates as we grow the team.

You’ll design controllers/operators in Go, promote GitOps, and drive adoption of self-service capabilities for internal users.

Qualifications

Experience designing and building cloud-native platforms.
Proficiency in Go for backend services and Kubernetes operators.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
Experience with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design and implement platform capabilities using Kubernetes-native patterns and event-driven architectures.
Build self-service workflows for internal users and developers.
Design and implement Kubernetes controllers/operators in Go to automate infrastructure and lifecycle management.
Mentor engineers and grow platform engineering practices within the team.
Collaborate across teams to align interfaces, abstractions and shared patterns.
Support hiring as the team expands and maintain high code quality.
Communicate clearly and collaborate across teams to drive platform adoption.
