Job summary

Erias Ventures seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer to contribute to cloud architecture, Go-based components, and open-source integrations. The role emphasizes autonomous problem solving and collaboration with architects in a hybrid environment.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code to enhance a robust cloud platform, with a focus on Big Data/Cloud solutions and secure, scalable deployments. The Columbia, MD office is a key location.

Qualifications

• Five plus (5+) years of experience with a Bachelor's in related field or three (3) years relevant experience with a Masters in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and nine (9) years relevant experience.
• Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes), Ansible, storage layers (Ceph, Rook, Longhorn, etc.).
• Programming in Go; solid Linux, shell scripting, and security fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work in a hybrid Columbia, MD office.
• Familiarity with DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II as may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
• Act as a strong systems integrator to enhance and stabilize code bases.
• Leverage infrastructure as code and modern tools to define, build, and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Architects and team members to meet strategic goals.
