Job summary

Amazon Web Services is hiring a Software Development Engineer to support the AWS Secret Cloud for Industry. You will design, build, deploy, and monitor features to improve reliability and user experience for government and commercial customers.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and involves on-call duties to keep systems fault-tolerant. You will work on large, distributed cloud infrastructure and collaborate with AIS teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions in Washington

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software language.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and monitor components of the AWS Secret Cloud for Industry service.
• On-call responsibilities, typically one week in six, ensuring fault tolerance and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
