Job summary

Raft is building a data platform for the DoD to enhance operators' awareness of critical data. You will collaborate on hands-on data solutions using Kafka, Pinot, Java/Scala, and Kubernetes. This on-site role requires security clearance and offers a competitive salary.

The engineer will design data pipelines, ensure low-latency access, and work across a modern cloud-native stack with a strong emphasis on reliability and governance.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of hands-on relevant industry experience.
• Experience with large-scale relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Experience or knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Experience with cloud-native enterprises and automation languages like Python or GoLang.
• Data management including ETL processing and data storage.

Responsibilities

• Build data infrastructure and platforms using Kafka, Flink, and Kafka Streams.
• Develop ETL pipelines to enable comprehensive data operations.
• Architect, develop, and implement large-scale data applications.
