Job summary

Raft is a U.S.-based defense tech company building a real-time data platform for DoD with millisecond latency. You will lead architecture, mentor engineers, and work hands-on to process over a billion events daily using Kafka, Pinot, Java, Scala, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant hands-on industry experience.
• Experience building fault-tolerant, data-intensive platforms with Kafka, Pinot, or Flink.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch for low-latency requirements.
• Experience cloud-native environments and ETL processing.
• Familiar with Maven, Gradle, or NPM for releases.
• Strong software design and architecture knowledge.
• Security+ certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level architecture and technical leadership.
• Mentor Senior and junior Engineers.
