Job summary

FM Talent Source is seeking a Platform Engineer/DevSecOps Engineer in McLean, VA to modernize the GrantSolutions platform. You will build secure, automated cloud pipelines, manage IaC, and collaborate with product owners, security teams, and Federal stakeholders.

You will implement CI/CD across AWS, containerization, and observability, contributing to secure, scalable deployments in a fast-paced agile environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years of platform engineering, DevSecOps, cloud engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on AWS experience with ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar.
• DevSecOps practices: automated testing, vulnerability scanning, secrets management.
• Security into pipelines: SCA/DAST, container scanning, artifact security gates.
• AWS security, IAM, networking, logging, monitoring, encryption, least privilege.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Observability: logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts (CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana, Datadog).
• Disaster recovery, highly available cloud environments, production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, secure, and operate AWS cloud platform capabilities for a large modernization program.
• Implement modern DevSecOps practices: secure CI/CD pipelines, governance, and release automation.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK for reproducible environments.
• Support cloud-native delivery: services, containers, databases, networking, IAM, monitoring.
• Standardize reusable pipeline templates and deployment patterns with engineering teams.
• Embed security early across the SDLC with automated analysis and scanning.
• Implement observability: centralized logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts, tracing.
• Manage environments: access control, encryption, backup, DR, and change coordination.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align platform delivery with FedRAMP/NIST requirements.
• Troubleshoot platform, pipeline, deployment, and performance issues; drive automation.
